Big heart

Good Morning!
The last few days I have been busy making a few gifts for my nieces graduation from Grade 12.
Her graduation is this weekend, I am sure it will be a great time for her and all her friends. My sister is having a family get together to celebrate. It seems like she was just born and now she has turned 18 at the beginning of May and now graduation. Crazy how time flies....
I'll have to take a few pictures and post them on her to share the great gifts I have put together for her.

I have had this card made for quite some time and haven't shared it. So I am today, this image is sooo adorable and could be used for so many different cards, like an anniversary, birth of a child, Valentines Day. The possibilities are endless. This great image is called Baby Bears Big Heart and can be found at Miss Daisy's Stamps or click here. This image also comes with a bonus file with sentiments on it. . I made this card as a Valentines Day card for my daughter. That's why I put the be mine ribbon on the card.

Owl Ways Party

Hi there glad to see you popped by again.
It's finally decide to rain here thank goodness cause there have been so many forest fires. It started raining last night and it is still raining, everything has definitely turned a more beautiful green. We have had numerous ones fairly close and it leave an uneasy felling inside you to think that a forest fire can cause so much devastation and Alberta I think has seen enough of that.

I'm happy to be up and posting every week.
I always try to do something different with my creations. I try not to ever make the same card twice. Unless it's like a wedding invitation or Thank you cards.
This card was made to be a little ones birthday card. I love this little image, so much fun to color.
This one is called Owl-Ways Party from Miss Daisy Stamps. This image also has a bonus file with some great sentiments in it. It's great to get the bonus file with sentiments cause once you print them off you can use them for this image on a card or for any others that you may have. It's always nice to have some on hand especially if you don't have the stamps

I added little dots around the image with my copic markers to give the image a bit of a background. I also added some stickles to add a bit of shine to the image.....who doesn't like a bit of glitter.

Thank you for stopping by:
So glad to see you and I'm hoping that I've given you a little inspiration to get in touch with your inner self and create!

Raggedy Girl Nurse

Welcome back!

I have officially been off of crutches  a little more than a week and I couldn't be happier about it. I had never been on crutches before I broke my foot and I have a whole new appreciation for anyone that has to use them. It is a lot of work, hard on your hands ( I now have callouses on each one), hard on your back, hard on your chest muscles. I also appreciated everyone who helped me out.... for ever single person who held a door or packed something for me. I guess most of all my daughter and husband who helped me do things around the house, packed things for me, drove me around to appointments, for groceries etc, etc, etc.  The list goes on like ...13 weeks long.  I read a lot, watched t.v and colored a lot of images. It took me a bit to get into making the cards, cause to move around my scrapbook room was a challenge as well as frustrating. So for  the first quite a few weeks I just colored at my kitchen table.
So I had this image colored long before I was able to create with it and make this card.
I made a get well card using this absolutely wonderful image called Raggedy Girl Nurse from
Miss Daisy Stamps. ( click here to jump to the store)
This digital image as has a bonus file with some great sentiments included. The "Get Well" is one of the sentiments.
A closer look at my colored image.
I enjoyed making this card ,
I hope you grab a image and create something fun.

Pretty Petals 1

Glad to you popped into my blog!
Today I have created a very special card for a very special person in my life....  My husband.
His birthday was on April 29 and I made this card for him. Everyone loves sunflowers they are so bright and cheery. So is this image I absolutely loved working with this one. This image is from Miss Daisy Stamps and is called Pretty Petals 1. My daughter and husband just planted about 5 different kinds of sunflowers, we will see what we get when the grow and how big they get. I can't wait to see them in the fall.

A closer look at pretty petals 1.
I added little water droplets to add just a little more detail to the card.
Thank you for stopping by and I'll see you again next week.

I just wanted to add a little note....speaking of rain. Here in Alberta, Canada we could sure use some.  Especially in Fort McMurray!
The whole city has been evacuated and the forest fire continues to grow. So many people have lost everything... so sad it breaks my heart. I'm sure if you have watched the news you have seen what has been going on.
This disaster has been so devastating and has affected the whole country, I'm so proud of all the people who are helping by donating, getting things together to send to the evacuees.
In my community there have been quite a few people that are here staying after their devastating loss. It's so nice to see that so many people have pulled together to help.
There are so many bad things going on in the world, bombing, people hurt other people, but this has helped restore my faith in humanity.

Umbrella Ducky

Morning!
Hope your day is going well, and that you are creating or doing something you love to do. It seems lately that when I color an image, something goes wrong in between the finished colored image and the completed card. Like I explained with my fish card and now this one LOL.
I colored this then put glossy accents on the water to give it some depth. While waiting for that to dry I started working on the actual card itself, I had just set it to the side of my scrapbook table for maybe like 5 minutes......when my adult daughter came in to talk and grabbed it to look at it before I could say that it was still really wet. Her finger smeared through the water splashes on the left side of the card, it took me some thinking on how to create my card without actually having to re color the whole image. I originally was going to just cut a square around the image but because of the smear, I cut out the splash drops and cut around the left side of the duck and umbrella. I actually like how this turned out. I have taught card and scrapbooking classes to adults as well as children and have always said....everything is fixable ( for the most part). You can add a flower, sentiment or a embellishment to cover a lot of mistakes.

Today I am posting this card I made that is super cute and tons of fun to work with from Miss Daisy Stamps....called Umbrella Ducky. This file comes complete with bonus file sentiments, I have used 2 of them on this card.

A closer look at my water splashes. my fix job.....LOL
Thank you for stopping by, hope to see you next week as well.
Have a Ducky day!

Flower Pot Bunny

Good Morning!!

Today the sun is shining and there is a bit of a wind. It's super dry and we sure could use some rain, there seems to be a lot of forest fires flaring up around the province. On Tuesday night I went golfing with my husband, I didn't golf I road around in the golf cart and watched him golf as I'm still on crutches. While we were out on the course a water bomber flew over a couple times and fairly low. They are forecasting rain and I hope we get some to help fire fighter with their jobs. We never had very much snow over the winter so now we are suffering the dryness in the spring.
Speaking of spring,
I made this super cute card using a fantastic image from Miss Daisy Stamps. This image is called Flower Pot Bunny and was wonderful to work with. I used bright fun spring colors and added some wonderful flowers to welcome in spring. I added a border of paw prints to add the bunny effect. This image comes complete with a bonus file of sentiments as well. Hop over to Miss Daisy Stamps and check out her wonderful digital images.

To add some extra dimension to  my card I printed to images the same size then grayed out the bottom image pieces that I wanted to pop up. Of course I love sparkle so I added a little shine on the card by adding some stickles.
Thank you for hopping by and hope you stop by next week to check out my most recent Miss Daisy Inspirational card.
Have a Fantastic sunny day!

Catch More Fish

Hi ! Hope your having a fantastic day!!!!
I'm glad to see that you popped back in to check out my newest creation. I had a few creative blocks with this card. I colored the image and it turned out good, but I wanted it to be a "guy" card. So I guess I was being fairly picky, plus I made it for my dad's birthday. All the embellishments didn't fit the way I wanted, I placed more things than I can count on it to see if it fit, but  I was being really critical of everything.  I put gear, metal things etc, etc. I thought I had it and there was just something about it that I didn't like, so I tried to pull of the image....the only time I'm sure that the image was stuck beyond stuck and I couldn't remove it......it torn. So it was a huge redo, I had to recolor the image and redo absolutely everything.  So I re colored the image and redid everything. I'm glad I did cause I really enjoyed doing this card... plus my dad loved it.

I made this card using the image from Miss Daisy Stamps called Catch More Fish that also comes with a bonus file with sentiments, you should check it out. I also made this card for a family reunion auction item, I got a great response from all the men that were there.

a close up of the end of the hook, I actually went shopping and added a fly hook to give it the dimension and added a smear of pearl accents to give the fish the glow that they have.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my blog...
Make sure you stop by next week to see my newest creation as well.

Pretty Petals 2

Welcome back!!!
I realize that I haven't posted anything in quite some time. Well as it happened I went on a little vacation in January to Costa Rica.....beautiful place by the way.  A couple days before we were due to come home we were walking on a path to go back to our condo after supper and I rolled over on my ankle. I still had to walk quite a ways farther, I happened to roll over on my ankle again and then fell. Long story short...... I walked on my foot for a few days until we got home. Went to the hospital and well I had a broken foot. So the doctor put me on crutches and I got a cast.
As it turns out  9 1/2 weeks later and I'm still on crutches and have the cast, apparently my foot wants to take it's time to heal. This has been super frustrating and kind of got me depressed, I never realized how hard it is on crutches to do day to day stuff when your not allowed to put any weight on your foot. Right from cooking supper, cleaning and crafting.  I am usually pretty active  but since this I havent been able to go for walks, drive, or  go to work. So it's taking me some time to get out of the slump that I was in and to be motivated enough to craft again.
But I am being productive and have created some cards using some pretty great images from Miss Daisy Stamps.
The following card is made using an Image called Pretty Petals 2.

I made this card as a birthday card and gave it to my mother-in-law for her 75 th birthday. Very fitting for a lady that love flowers.

I added a bit of stickles to give the flowers a bit of shine.
I made the side of the card with a step to give it some dimension.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my creation!!
Hope to see you back next week

Daisy Girl

Hi welcome to my blog!
I worked on this card as well as the one last week, I guess I have kind of been in a girly mood lately as my cards are flowery and I've been using pinks and purples.  I need to maybe make some more masculine cards.... that should be next on my list I think.
This card was made with a image from Miss Daisy Stamps called Daisy Girl. Daisy girl also comes with a bonus file. Check out the Miss Daisy shop for some fantastic images to create with .

A closer look at Daisy Girl.

I've been busy this week as I worked more this week than I normally do and just coloring images. trying to get some cards made, I'm pretty happy with how the couple of cards are that I've been working on. I used a new image from Miss Daisy Stamps called Raggedy Girl Daisy Mae.

Here are a few of the sentiments that you get with the image as well.

Guardian Angel

Hi there! Glad to see back again.

Christmas has come and gone, and the new year is here. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and I wish you all the very best in 2016. The weather has been quite nice here in Alberta, a few days ago we started getting a bit of a west wind and well today the white stuff decided to come back and join us again. I guess someone decided to shake the snow globe again and give us a bit more snow.

It's been a good time to stay inside and get crafty....
I been making a few cards and coloring a fair amount.
So I decided to post this card that I made with a fantastic image from Miss Daisy Stamps called Guardian Angel.
I choose to use a soft purple palette  with this card to stay with the theme of angels.

I made the wings with an overlay of vellum, just to try to give my card some dimension.

I hope to see you back next week for another creation using another wonderful image of miss Daisy Stamps.
