Jan 30 heart shaped glasses

Well the end of January already.
Valentines day is just around the corner, so I thought that I would get started on a few Valentines Day cards. This being the first of more to come, I used a digital image from Whimsy Stamps designer Miss Rach called Heart Shaped Glasses. A super cute image that fits well into the valentines theme. I put glossy accents on the glasses to try to give it the look of actual glasses. It's hard to get a photo to actually justify the true way the card turned out. I took a couple pictures that will hopefully give the the effect I was trying to capture with my photo.
A bit closer, you can see the shine on the glasses in this picture.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.
 Have a fabulous day!

Jan challenge- Something New

 Good Morning !
Glad to see you popped back into today. This is our first challenge with Whimsy for the new year.
Can you guess what the challenge is seeing how we have just started 2014, you guess it, the challenge is "Something New".
This leave so much to your imagination, something new could be interpreted so many ways.... New paper, stamp, using new tools to make your card. I decided to use a couple things that are new to me to make this card... A new stamp released from Whimsy Stamps from designer Lia Stampz. This stamp is called birthday Princess and it's an adorable stamp to work with, I added a lot of stickles to give it that princess sparkle.
I also used a new edge punch that I have never used  before this card and I tried making a bow using a new technique.
I would love for you to try to make a card using a new technique or new product and put it on the Whimsy challenge blog ( click here) for a chance to win some great digital images.
I can't wait to see what you make.
Here's my creation:

I tried taking a closer picture so I didn't get a glare from the stickles, it worked but the angles a little different.
Thank you for stopping by:
Have a fabulous day.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Word Art Wednesday: Anything Goes
Love to Scrap: Anything Goes
One Crazy Stamper: Anything Goes

Happy New Year!

Well I can hardly believe that it`s already 2014, how times flies.
I guess it`s a time to reflect upon all thing that happened in 2013, good and bad. It is also a time to reflect upon the new year|- a fresh start to how you want things in your life to be and put your best foot forward to embrace the great things in your life. To start this year focused on the things and people that bring you joy that put a smile on your face and that make you laugh. To start off this year, I have started it by making this cute card with a super cute image from Whimsy Stamps called Yarn Guard from designer Miss Rach. I wanted this card to be bright and cheerful so I decided pink would be fitting. I colored it with copic markers and kept the color scheme pink and browns.
A bit of close picture of the image.
I didn`t have a sentiment that said this so I made it easy and typed it up on my computer
A picture of some flowers that I made using a couple great paper punches.
