December 18 Christmas inspiration

Well Good morning!
Christmas is only a week away, sure crept up fast. Today is the 18 of December already.  We have had so much snow here it's crazy. You can hardly see the Christmas decorations that I put on my lawn, they are a little buried. We have dug them out a couple times but you still can't see them very well. I think I'll be digging Christmas decorations  out in the spring cause you won't be able to find them pretty soon if we get any more snow. LOL. It's been great here weather wise the last couple days, warm enough to actually take my dogs for a walk. They have been staring at me a lot, to the point where they make you feel guilty for not taking them. So they have been my motivation to go or maybe my conscience has been. Either way they were happy they got some walks in while the weather has been nice.

This card is made using a digital image from Whimsy stamps by designer Miss Rach called Winter Reindeer. A super cute reindeer that is great to color and will be great to throw in the mail to someone for Christmas.

24 Days of Christmas at Whimsy.

Hello Everyone!
The design team for Whimsy Stamps are having a "24 days of Christmas Party.
Every day a new inspiration card will be posted on the Whimsy blog and today is day 15 my turn. I used a super wonderful image called Christmas Gift Horse by designer Crissy Armstrong from Whimsy Stamps.  I colored my image using copic markers, the sentiment is from vintage Christmas rubber stamp set from Whimsy Stamps,  I used a Fleur De Lis Rectangle spellbinder.
 and  Imaginisce heat set pearls.

 The Sentiment.

Every day from 1st to 24th December, a member of the design team will be sharing a brand new Whimsy holiday creation on the Whimsy blog.  Included in these daily posts will be a LETTER.  Visit the Whimsy Stamps blog every day, make a note of each letter and keep them safe.  Once you have collected all 24 letters, you should be able to unscramble them and make a 4 word phrase.  Email your phrase to whimsystampscontests@gmail.com by 31st December 2013, and if you've guessed correctly, you will be entered into the draw to win a fantastic GRAND PRIZE!
But that's not all!  We will also be running some fun SPOT PRIZES throughout the entire event.  The prizes could be hidden either on the Whimsy blog or on our design team member's blogs, so be sure to leave a comment both on the Whimsy blog and on our DT's blog posts each day to be in with a chance to win!
GOOD LUCK !

Good Morning!
Great to see you again, it's a clear, fairly warm morning here. Sure can't complain, not to cool and no snow. Hopefully today my daughter and I can get outside and decorate our front lawn with a few Christmas things. She convinced me yesterday to buy a few artificial trees from a local store that is trying to get rid of some old stock. They were pretty cheap but pretty neat looking, the one has fake snow all over it. So we thought we would add some lights and a sleigh  and reindeer that lights up.  You have to do decorating while it's not o cool so today should be perfect. Anyways enough about me lets get on to the card that I'm showing you today.

This is a Whimsy challenge card for the theme Party Time. Easy enough challenge to do, especially with the holidays right around the corner. You can make a birthday card or a festive holiday card, anything to do with party's.
This is my card using a wonderful image called "Christmas Shopping" from the Whimsy Store by designer Lia Stampz.
I added some great spellbinder poinsettias and a sentiment. My card is pretty simple but i wanted the image to really be the focal point of my card. I hope you make a wonderful party themed card and play along. I'll be checking to see some of the great creations that have been created for this theme on the Whimsy Challenge blog.
Happy Crafting !

Penguins are present card

Hello on this cool winter day.
We are suppose to get a lot of snow in the next 24 hours, yuck! That means shoveling, well at least it's not cold outside. I don't mind the snow but I sure dislike when it's cold and blowing. You know that wind that chills you to the bone. I think the temperature is suppose to be seasonal. Which is okay.

A good day to craft and stay indoors.
This is a card I made using a super cute image from Whimsy Stamps called Penguins are present from designer Crissy Armstrong. This was a great image to work with, a wonderful Christmas card for someone special. Christmas is just around the corner again. wow how time flies hey.
I hope you get some cards done and that this little cutie will inspire you to do so.

A closer look at the colored image, also in the corners of the photo you can see another great Whimsy product, one is the mini Postage stamp and it was cut out with the matching die. On the top left corner you can see the seasonal ornament stamp set and that was cut out with the matching die.
Thank you tons for stopping by again.
Great to see you.
Stay warm and have a crafty day!

Oct. 26 Snowman country cute.

Hi welcome back to my blog!
It's been a while, sorry about that, sometimes things in our lives just get crazy. Sometimes things beyond our control change the dynamics of our world and you have to push through it and try to focus on the positive, good blessings that present themselves to us. Focus on the little things that put a smile on your face, it's the little joys that sometimes bring us the greatest pleasures.
That's why I love making cards, scrapbooking and creative avenues. It helps me focus on the shear joy of loosing myself in creating.
Here is my creation for today.
I used this absolutely adorable image from Crissy's Digis from Whimsy Stamps called
Snowman Country Cute.  I colored him with copic markers  using a grey for the snow, sometimes a light blue works well also.

A little bit closer of a look at the colored image.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look.
Have a wonderful day and do something that puts a smile on your face today

Baby girl bouquet

Good Morning, Welcome back to my blog!
A little bit frosty outside the last couple days, a bit of white on the ground. The days are getting cooler and a bit shorter, a sure sign that winter is approaching hopefully not for a few more months.

For this post on my blog I made a GREAT baby gift for my niece and added a fabulous tag I made from Whimsy Stamps made by designer Lia Stampz. The tag is called Baby Girl and there is also one for a baby boy they are super cute, cute, cute.
This gift is made using newborn diapers rolled into little roses and put into a bouquet in a vase filled with wonderful little baby things like a book, lotion, washcloths, spoons, baby shampoo and a lot more. I was surprised how much stuff I could actually get in this vase. My niece loved it, it looks like a bouquet of roses but everything is usable, and I love that part of this gift.

MR Baby Moose

Hi great to see you!
It's definitely starting to feel a bit like fall out there the wind is a bit cooler than it has been. I sure have been enjoying these last few days of great weather though. Last night we got our first frost, yikes. I sure hope that fall is long and warm and none of that white stuff for a while.
This is a card that I made using a  Miss Rach digi called Baby Moose.  Super cute and great for a guy card, those seem to be a bit harder to make, without sticking girly things on them like flowers. This one is a perfect image for that.
You can hope over to the Whimsy Stamps store to check out this and other great images. Click here to jump over to the Whimsy Challenge blog to get daily inspiration on great projects and cards made with wonderful Whimsy images.

Inspiration card Aug 15

Great to see you again!
I have been busy, busy again. It seems that things go bursts of busy in my life. That I won't be busy or doing to much in a day then all of a sudden it gets super busy with a million things that all have to be crammed into a couple days. I had planned a little get away for a couple days with my daughter, then a unexpected appointment came up so things got rearranged. It all worked out but changed a few plans, nothing major. Our get away just happened a bit later that's all. Crazy how stuff happens. So I get a couple days away with her, I am glad everything has worked out. I'm hoping that things get a little more organized and less chaotic from now on for a little while anyways. Ya right, LOL.
I have been coloring some really great images from Whimsy Stamps and now will be making some inspiring creations to share. This cute little image is called Big Love from Marika Collins. I tried doing something a bit different with the image I tried using a glaze pen for a different effect, it turned out ok but the photo had a lot of glare cause of the glaze. I tried retaking the picture but could not get the clarity that I wanted.
So this is my inspiration card for this week, I hope you  can be inspired to create something different and wonderful today.

I tried something different using a sewing zipper to make a flower. I like the effect that I got. I've never tried this before it was easy so I'm sure I'll use this technique again.
Supplies: Bazzill cardstock, Spellbinders- Label Eighteen, standard circles, Large inverted scalloped circle, Memory box Fresh Foliage, Penny Black sentiment eloquence, Tim Holtz bricks embossing folder.

Have a super wonderful day

August Challenge card.. Clean and simple

Welcome back to my blog!
It's raining here today and suppose to be that was for a few days, hopefully not to long cause July zoomed away. I would really like to enjoy August before we get into fall and thrown into winter again. Time zips by so darn fast.
So the next few days will be a perfect day for making cards and crafting cause you really can't do to much outside on days like this.
The challenge at Whimsy this month is clean and simple.
What is your take on clean and simple, some people add a few things just not as many as they typically would. I think clean and simple is not to much for patterned paper, no embellishments, and clean lines. So this is my challenge card for clean and simple, very faint patterned paper with one piece of ribbon and a bow. This card to me could have a ton more stuff on it. If you have seen my work before you will know what I mean, and is you haven't been here before thank you for stopping by. I love the detail of flowers and embellishments. So I really hope that you decide to make a card and put it in our challenge this month at Whimsy for a chance to win some terrific stamps from Whimsy.
This stamp is from designer Marika Collins and is called Summer. If you would like more information about the details of the stamp click here. You should click here and jump over to the Whimsy inspiration blog to join in on our challenge clean and simple for this month, or to just get inspired to create something wonderful today.

A bit closer look at the image "Summer"
Supplies: Copic markers, Kaiser patterned paper., Bazzill cardstock, Offray ribbon.

Not a very big supply list!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Creative Moments Challenge: Sea/Seashore/anything goes
I also added it to the Make it Monday Challenge

It was wonderful to see you again

July 25 inspiration card

Inspiration card for July 25.
Well it's been a few days since I have posted anything on my blog, I was kinda wist away by my husband unexpectedly.....a couple of times.
I finished my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration party, it went very well. Turned out closer to a wedding than an anniversary but it was wonderful. They enjoyed themselves a lot. When that was finished I was home for like a day then we went away to relatives for a couple days to the lake. Then unexpectedly came home and gone again the next day to visit my sister-in-laws at her new place in southern British Columbia. We took a day away for our 25th wedding anniversary, stayed at a beautiful little hotel, went out for a wonderful supper, walked on the boardwalk, had a glass of wine on the marina. It was truly a wonderful way to spend an anniversary with a man that is the love of my life and my soul mate.

Well now that I have given you the low down on my last couple of weeks I'll get to the card that I just finished. This is a wonderful image from Whimsy Stamps called Megan school girl created by designer Scrappers Delight. Such a cute image and fun to create with, although school does not start here for a little better than a month.

July 14 inspiration card muffin

Hello welcome back to my blog.
sorry my post this last week is a little late, so I'll just have to post another card this week to help make up for my crazy schedule. Hope your doing well and that I can inspire you to post a card or create today.
I made this super cute cute card using a digital image from Whimsy stamps called Muffin from designer Lia Stampz. I colored this image using copic markers and used a new spellbinder for the little dollies on the edge of the card. I never did anything way over the top but I sure love the way this card turned out. Sometimes simplicity can speak volumes. I hope you have a fabulous day full of wonderful and happy things. I added a few strips of this really great ribbon I came across then put a line of pearls in between. The little dies are from spellbinders and are called Medallion seven.

So here is my card for this week.

A bit of a closer look at this adorable colored image.

I hope you have a wonderful day!
