August 29 already, well it's getting to close to the end of summer already.
That means that fall is just around the corner, I am sure hoping for a long warm beautiful fall. I'm not ready for any of that white stuff anytime soon.
I made an inspiration card for my blog yesterday, I finally got to my scrapbook room to actually put a card together. I have all these images colored I just need to put it all together and that's one of the best parts at creating a card.
I really love how this card turned out.The angel stamp is a digital one from Whimsy Stamps called Angel Petals by Stampart Design.  This angel looked so serene so I ended up making it into a sympathy card, not something I typically make . I usually just make birthday,  just because cards, or never put a sentiment on it. But this one just maybe because of the colors I used,  kinda pulled me towards making this with a sympathy sentiment which is from a Whimsy rubber stamp set called Butterfly Sympathy.
I think while I was making this card I have been thinking of some of the people who I have lost that have and always will remain a big part of my life and who I am today. You know when someone has just touched your life and created memories that you don't ever let go of. Well I think that's where my mind was when I created this card. Not a sad thing just a calm, peaceful angel thing.
I hope that I haven't made you sad by the theme that I have used but maybe just think about that someone who is watching over you as a guardian angel and smiling at you.
I hope that you create something today that has all the passion and warmth that you deserve.
Here is my inspiration card for this week.
Bless you and have a wonderful day.

Challenge 15 Lots of Layers.

 Welcome Back to my blog!
It has been a bit , busy, busy like you as well I'm sure. The days are an absolute blurr, yard work, running with my daughter, house work still there are not enough hours in the day. But now time to step up and get myself back on track with my cards and scrapbooking. I guess a balance with all that is what anyone needs. I am glad to see that you have popped back to check out my blog.
This challenge this week at Whimsy is Lots of Layers.
An easy enough challenge cause I love layers on a card, the dimension and the colors you can add, I also love matting. This card was made using a digital image from Whimsy Stamps called Pretty Petals from StampArt Design. I colored it with copic markers and tried to add a little shadow behind the leaves and the sunflower to help give it dimension.
I hope that you will enter a card or project for this challenge, it's easy to enter and you could win free digital stamps that are easy to use and have some really great images from Whimsy Stamps.

Here is my inspiration card for this challenge Lots of Layers.
I colored my image using copic markers. I used Y13, 15, 18,  and Y26 for the sunflower. YG03, 05, 25, and YG 63 for the leaves. I added a bit of shading behind the image using W1,2 and 3.

The sentiment that I printed with the image. I used Spellbinder Labels Seventeen spellbinder to cut out the top part of my sentiment so that it would match the one I used to cut out the flower.

This is my card that I made using the really super cute digital stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Whimsy Frog.  A super cute image for a summer card or a  birthday card or  just because.
An up close and personal look at my colored image. I guess I really like green for this card as most of it is green.
These cattails took me a little while to make - the picture doesn't really show it that well. Maybe if I describe what I did to make my cattails. I took a piece of floral wire, then rolled a piece of white paper and glued the inside of the rolled piece to the wire. I then used glossy accents all over the rolled paper, then dipped it in white petal soft. After that I then sprayed them with tattered leather glimmer mist. Let them dry, and then glued them to the pieces of leaves that I cut out of green cardstock. Time consuming but relatively easy to make.
Supplies:Whimsy Frog digi stamp from Whimsy, Copic markers, Bazzill cardstock, Lacey Squares Spellbinder, Little Yellow Bicycle patterned paper, petal soft, ribbon, Martha Stewart butterfly punches.
