Dec 19 Challenge

The challenge at Whimsy this month is anything as long as its festive!
I have chosen to do this very festive image from Stamp Art Design called Christmas Candle. This digital file comes with the sentiment in English and french with the holly as well.

I thought that it was very fitting given that Christmas is next week already. Wow has the time flown by, not really sure where the last month has went. Christmas already, then we are jumping into 2013.
You should hope over to the Whimsy blog to see all the other great creations by the other digital designers. If you have created a card that follows the criteria then you should enter your creation for a chance to win some really great digital images from Whimsy stamps by Whimsy's Fabulous designers.
I hope that my creation helps sent you some inspiration and a little festive Christmas cheer.

This is a close up of the digital image that I colored with copic markers and added a few stickles for some Christmas glitter.

I hope you are enjoying the hop and that my card has inspired you to create today.

The card I  made for the December 1 Release is made using a digital stamp by a new designer to Whimsy Stamps. Her name is Marika Collins and her digis are super cute.
This little beauty is "Erin", I colored her with copic markers.
I made a side step card, I loved making this card, I've never made one of these cards. I seen a picture of one and searched the Internet to fine the template and this is what I came up with. I hope it inspires you to try to make a new shape or card design. I know the picture of this design sure inspired me. I got some new patterned paper and that inspired me to use these colors.

Wow some crazy winter weather last night, I hate when it gets cold then warms up. That's when we always get frezzing rain, And we got alot of it last night. My driveway and steps are like skating rinks. My front step has at least a half inch of ice on it if not a little bit more. It was raining just like summer then dipped down to get just a bit too cold.  So today hopefully warms up enough to help get rid of it.
So this is the card I made for day 4 of the digital release for Whimsy.
This is an image from Lia Stampz called Annie.  This image is a wonderful winter image that instantly made me want to color her and make a unique card.  A month ago I went to visit family that is moving to a new province, I don't have a local scrapbook store any more so to be able to go to one is a real treat. I found this really neat little store with lots of different things in it - I stocked up. So I used some stuff on the last couple cards I've created.
This is my creation!

This is a new spellbinder I found at the little store, that I fell in love with.

Supplies: Digital image from Whimsy Stamps called: Annie, Copic markers, Bazzill Cardstock, Fab Scraps patterned paper, Prima Marketing Pink Pearls, Spellbinder 2012 Snowflake Pendant, Distress ink, Stardust Stickles.

Nov release day 2

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of our November Digital Stamp Release Showcase!

On Thursday (1st November) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new digital designs, From then until 4th November the Whimsy Digital DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop and I am part of today’s hop!  Glad to see that you have dropped back by for Day 2.
The creations made by the DT team have been very inspiring, alot of wonderful ideas.
I love looking at other peoples ideas it helps get the ideas going in your head. After looking I just  put the ideas into my memory bank. They stick in there somewhere then when I need a good idea they just kinda pop out. I can visualize the idea I want which helps, alot of people tell me that they can't see the idea in their mind. To me that's weird , I guess cause I can visualize exactly what I want.
The card below was an exception to that rule.
I colored the image with no particular card stock or patterned paper in mind, so when I went to put it together I had no paper with purple and orange pattern in it. Then I wasn't really sure that the colors actually went together. But I think I pulled it off, it turned out pretty good. I had to add the pink, cause the purple and orange together just didn't totally work. But I rather like this card, it's bright and cheerful. Everyone needs to get one of those kind of cards every once in a while don't you think.

This card is made with an image called Sisters from Dana's Digis from Whimsy Stamps I loved working with this image.
A close up of the colored image , colored with copic markers.

The flowers are from Whimsy and wild orchid.

Supplies: Sisters image, Film Strip sentiments and flowers from Whimsy, Spellbinder Ironwork Accents and circles, Flowers from Wild Orchid, miscellaneous metal embellishments, Martha Stewart branch punch, ribbon.

I think this is  a very fitting card because of all the snow that we have received over the last week or so. I have seen a few young children enjoying winters gift of the white stuff. I don't mind the snow but not a big fan of the cold and the wind here has been a little chilly.

This is my card colored with copic markers on a wonderful fun stamp called Andrew by Lia Stampz available from the Whimsy store.  I used an oval spellbinder to cut out the top part of my image. The flourishes and snow are sprayed with spray vellum adhesive and cover lightly with Fairydust glitter from Clearsnap. The flourishes are from Tim Holtz and the snow flakes are and EK snowflake punch.

Supplies: Andrew digital Image from Whimsy Stamps, copic markers, Little Yellow Bicycle patterned paper, Bazzill cardstock, Clearsnap sugar shimmer fairydust glitter, Tim Holtz Flourish die, EK snowflake punch, Distress stickles & Star Dust stickles.

Wednesday October 10 Already! That means it's time for another Whimsy Challenge.
The theme for this Challenge is all things sparkly.

I woke up this a.m and it was just starting to snow, now on the ground it's completely white . The flakes are huge and fluffy. I am so not ready for winter to be here already, I'm sure it will melt and not stay on the ground till spring but. It's a sure sign of whats to come probably sooner than later. This makes coloring and creating a card with a snow man pretty fitting don't you think. On that note lets get back to the matter at hand my card.

That is a pretty straight forward challenge. For this challenge I chose to use a super cute image from Whimsy Stamps called Frosty Friends from digital designer Kathryne from StampArt Design. I love this little image it's adorable. For my sparkle I added stardust stickles which are my favorite thing to put on a card any chance I get. I also added some gems, these are from a local store in the make your own jewlery section. They are swarovski crystals and very eye catching. Well like all bling, I'm like a bird I'm drawn towards anything shiny LOL.
Here is my creation.

I took a close up picture of this to try to show you the sparkle of the stickles hard to really see it on the picture.

Supplies:Whimsy stamps " Frosty Friends", Copic markers, Cricut snowflake cut from accent Essentials cartridge, Spellbinder, Bazill cardstock and Little Yellow Bicyle patterned paper, Stardust Stickles, Distress ink, swarovski crystals.

One more thing before you go.
Whimsy is also having a Design Team Call!

Open from now till October 19. Full dtails are listed on the website:
Just click on the link and it will pop you over to see full details. I wish everyone who applied the best of luck.

Here is my card creation for Day 2 of the Whimsy October release.
This card is done using the wonderful digital stamp from Whimsy stamps called presents from Lia Stampz. It's hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner, seems like I just said that about summer. But lots of people are starting to make Christmas cards already to get their stack complete in time to mail for the holidays. The sentiment that I used is a Whimsy stamp as well.
I hope that you will join us and  comment on each DT members cards for a chance to win. Digital stamps are wonderful and easy to use.   I hope you will enjoy the rest of the DT's creations as they are wonderful and very inspiring.

The Whimsy sentiment
